REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS

We believe our meals are only as good as our packaging allows and how well we’re able to coach you through the process. We’ve spent a lot of time developing packaging that keeps your meals fresh for the longest time possible and provides consistent reheating so that your meals are just as good as if Chef Dave served it directly to you from a hot oven.

We package our meals two ways depending on how you ordered: Plastic Containers & Vacuum-Seal Bags (some PaleoFit meals only). Both the containers and the bags are BPA-free and microwaveable; the bags are also boilable. Reheating instructions are similar for both..

MICROWAVE — Plastic Container

Remove lid from the plastic container & gently place back on top (this will keep moisture in during reheating but allow for venting). Reheat for 1 minute & 15 seconds at medium-high heat. Carefully test temperature (caution, container or food may be hot!). If still not hot, stir & repeat heating process at 45 second increments. Note: Plastic Containers are BPA-free and microwave-safe.

MICROWAVE — Vacuum-Seal Bag

Cut a small slit in the bag(s) to allow for venting. Reheat for 1 minute & 15 seconds at medium-high heat on one side. Carefully test temperature (caution, bag may be hot!). If still not hot to touch, flip & repeat heating process. Note: Bags are BPA-free and microwave-safe.

BOIL — Vacuum-Seal Bag

Fill pot with water leaving ~2” at the top of pot (be sure to choose a large enough pot that can fit all of the bags you’ll be reheating). Bring the water to a boil. Submerge the bag(s) in water and reheat for 3 minutes. Carefully test temperature (caution, bag may be hot!). If still not hot to touch, repeat heating process in 1 minute increments. Note: Bags are BPA-free and Boil-safe.

OVEN — Pastic Container or Vacuum-Seal Bag

 

Preheat oven to 375F. Remove the meal items from the container(s) or bag(s) and place in oven-safe dish. Reheat in oven for 10-15 minutes. Covering the dish with foil will retain moisture in dish.
